Important Leg 4 on the Burdens

I have been away this week so have not kept up to speed with the Blog. Important Information about Leg 4 has come to light. It has changed from last year and from the recce we did last weekend!

PLEASE NOTE: Leg 4 checkpoint “path end NO 232078″ HAS BEEN REMOVED FROM THIS YEAR’S ROUTE.

Leg 4 runners SHOULD KEEP TO THE MAIN FOREST TRACK and should NOT follow the path that was included on the recce.

The new route keeps to the main forest track and is a straight run into Falkland from the forest track where it joins the farm track after the wrought iron arbour that we ran under.

Leg four runners please make sure you check out the new route on this weekend recce runs.

There are now maps on the Fife AC website for legs 1, 2, 3 & 4

Follow the Events link and then the Devils Burden page.

First post on the blog. Congratulations on a very professional piece of work and something I’m sure is of great value to Harrier hillrunners.

I really enjoyed my recce the other week and thank you for all your organisational work. I’m not that fit these days, but it says it all that someone who is not an elite runner feels welcome at your hill sessions.

Quick question. Have I made a place in the slow team? Would love to do a leg of the DB, but haven’t had any info.

John,

Read you’re emails. You’re in the slow team with the rest of us crocks.

John,

You are down to do leg 3 with me. We are meeting at Strathmiglo village hall at 9.30 tommorrow morning (or Scotlandwell for 10am) for a recce.

Cheers,
