Wet and Wild Devils Burden Recce Runs

Well done to all the Hillbillies who braved the elements to run the Devils Burden Hill Relay leg 3 Recce.  With howling winds and horizontal rain you certainly realised why we carry full body cover in races. In this case it was on before leaving the car.

For wind and rain that is about as bad as I have seen it on the Lomonds. When I got to the top of West Lomond I was literally blown across the top and down the other side. Not that I wanted to stop and take in the view.

Andy, Ryan and I decided, perhaps foolishly, to loop back from the forest and run back to Scotlandwell.  Running or walking into a headwind with horizontal rain certainly lets you know you are alive.
