Ben Venue Hill Race
The rain might have stopped the Ryder Cup but us Hill Billies are made of tougher stuff. After not completing the race due to high winds last year there was an air of expectation as to what Ben Venue would offer as a race. Well we were not disappointed. It is a tough, tricky, and if you are going fast, terrifying race. As is fitting for a Scottish race we had a selection of weather from heavy vertical rain to almost a couple of views from the tops. Fabienne described it as a vertical bog. Many runners found the soggy bits across the top.
Well done to Alan Manson, Neil Campbell, Fabienne Thompson, who got 1st F40 and “Capt” Allan Macauley for giving it a go.
