Bog and Burn gets underway at the Whangie Whizz

The opening race in the 2009 Bog and Burn Hill Race Series got underway on Wednesday evening at the 4 mile (800ft) Whangie Whizz Hill Race near Carbeth. Andrew Wright was the leading Carnegie runner placing 4th overall in 28.59. Sandy Bennet finished 24th in 32.35, Alan Manson was 69th in 37.17 and Alison West was 114th (2nd F50) in 43.24.

The race attracted a field of 159 runners and the next Bog and Burn event takes place on Wednesday 29th April at the Kaim Hill Race followed by the Dumyat Hill Race from Stirling University on Wednesday 7th May. The series consists of ten events with your best four events to count.
