CARNEGIE HARRIERS HILL RACE
PDF details here 2007_carnegie_hill_race.pdf
The 2nd Carnegie Harriers Hill Race for club members will take place on Sunday 26th August 2007, starting at 2pm from Scotlandwell. Comprising a short and easy route within the Lomond Hills including the summits of Whitecraigs and Bishop Hill the approximate race distance will be 4 miles with an ascent of around 1400 feet. The race is a counter in the Hill Running Grand Prix and All-Rounder’s Competition so if you want to bag some points then get your fell shoes dusted off! It is intended that the course should suit total novices and experienced Hillbillies alike with the emphasis on taking part. The course will be marked and in the main, follow established hill paths – so no need to worry that you will get lost! Details of the exact route will be emailed with the weekly bulletin on Monday. Entries will be taken on the day of the race from 1pm and there will be no entry fee. Registration is at the Scotlandwell car park. Prizes will be awarded to the first male and female runners with the possibility of a sur-prize to be awarded by the race organisers on the day! The race finish will be back at the same point from where it starts and the option for post-race analysis in a local pub may exist.
If anyone is available to help out at the race instead of running then please email George at george.murdoch@scottishwater.co.uk
