Dollar Hill Race 2010
Well done to the 11 Hillbillies who turned out for the Dollar Hill Race. Not only was it a Grand Prix counter it was a Scottish Hill Runners and British Championship race. There was a big field and also great cakes at the end. Results to follow.

The club had a great turnout at the Dollar Hill Race on Saturday. This years race doubled as a SHR Championship event and also a British Championship counter. The huge field of 252 finishers included 11 Carnegie Harriers who took part in the 9.4 mile 3150 ft ascent course.
Leading Harrier was Peter Simpson who finished 42nd overall and was 4th in the MSV category in 1.26.26. A magnificent achievement considering the quality of the runners competing. Peter was 2nd Scot MSV. Dougie McGarry made a welcome return to hill racing and had a very impressive run finishing 160th in 1.45.16. It was a close race for the next four Harriers with Fabienne Thompson leading the pack to finish 173rd in 1.48.18, followed by Colin Reynolds 176th in 1.49.20, Neil Campbell 177th in a course PB of 1.49.24 andAndy Sim 179th in 1.49.39. Tom Bowie making good recovery from injury was 194th in 1.53.39, Stevie Greer 199th in 1.54.23,Alison West 203rd in 1.56.02, Phil Smithard 208th in 1.57.32 and Hill Captain Allan Macaulay bringing up the rear in 212th position in 1.58.20.
