Wednesday 7th July – Carnethy Midweek Hill Race, Silverburn
Lynne Bennet takes the F40 title at Carnethy
At last Wednesday’s Carnethy Midweek Hill Race in the Pentlands, Sandy Bennet covered the 3 miles and 1100 feet climb in 30.55 to finish 9th overall and 3rd M40. Lynne Bennet was 36th overall and 1st F40 in 39.43.
Saturday 10th July – Alva Highland Games Hill Race
On Saturday afternoon, Judy Turner was the first lady at the Alva Highland Games Hill Race in 28.06 with Andrew Wright finishing 7th overall in 22.56.
Sunday 11th July – Crieff 10K Race
At the multi-terrain Crieff 10K Race on Sunday morning over 200 runners took part. Carnegie’s Andrew Wright ran an excellent race finishing 2nd overall in 35.52. Mike Harvey was 24th in 41.58 and Frazer Munro finished 33rd in 43.31.
Sunday 11th July – Heart of the Park Challenge, Braemar
Bill Duff wins M60 award in Braemar
Three Harriers travelled north to Braemar on Sunday to take part in the Heart of the Park Challenge. The multi-terrain race saw the 53 runners taking part cover a 12k course along trails and tracks, through bogs and pinewoods of Braemar. Bill Duff ran a great race and was the leading Carnegie runner finishing 24th overall and 1st M60 in 1.07.53. Chris Davidson placed 34th in 1.14.10 and Melanie Sinclair was 38th overall and 6th lady in 1.14.25.
