Andy Symonds has won the 2009 SHR Long Classics Series

Congratulations to Carnegie Hillbilly Andy Symonds who has won the 2009 Scottish Hill Running Long Classics Series, which concluded on Sunday at the Pentland Skyline Hill Race. The series was based on the athletes 5 best results from 11 races, with 745 runners completing at least 1 race.Andy’s took part in races at Stuc a’ Chroin, Loch Lochy, Ben Rinnes, Ochil 2000′s, Two Breweries and the Pentland Skyline with his best 5 results totalling 4943 points. Carnethy’s Stewart Whitlie finished 2nd and Alex Keith (HBT) was 3rd.

Fabienne Thompson placed 6th lady overall in the series and Andy Sim was the 30th male finisher overall.
