Tribute Run for George
In memory of our former hill running captain George Murdoch who very sadly past away in 2007 we are encouraging our club members to come along to our annual Tribute Run for George at the Tinto Hill Race which takes place at 2pm on Saturday 7th November in Symington near Biggar. This event has been very well supported by our club members in 2007 and 2008 and we would like to see another good turnout this year. This popular hill race is 4.4 miles (1500 ft) and is the final event in our 2009 Hill Running Grand Prix. It is an ideal event for club members to try as an induction to hill running. So for those of you who still have yet to do a “proper” hill race this is an ideal opportunity to give one a bash and whether you wish to race it, jog it or walk it we ask you to come along and take part.

Race entries are £4 and will be accepted until 1.30pm at the Sports Club, Symington. There is a 10 minute drive from the Sports Club to the race start so allow plenty time. If required to do so by the race organiser, you MUST carry full waterproof body cover and a whistle.
Symington is 48 miles south of Dunfermline and is near to Biggar. Travel across the Forth Road Bridge and onto the Edinburgh City bypass and then south onto the A702 towards Biggar. If you wish to car share then please meet at Dunfermline Academy of Sport at 11am.
