Björkliden Arctic Mountain Marathon
Andy wins the Björkliden Arctic Mountain Marathon
Carnegie Harrier Andy Symonds teamed up with Jethro Lennox (Shettleston) to contest the Björkliden Arctic Mountain Marathon in Sweden last weekend. The 70km race is a two-day mountain orienteering event where two-person teams spend the night on the mountain. Björkliden is situated 124 miles north of the Artic circle.Andy and Jethro who represented the SAAB Salomon team in the race excelled once again to win the event in 14 hours 26 mins 48 secs.
